My Story

Born and raised in Wyoming, Becca started fighting for justice as a headstrong teenager on her high school policy debate team. During college she volunteered for a domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy program and shelter, where she would later work for seven years. Over time, it became apparent that lawyers played a huge part in outcomes—good and bad—for the survivors she served. And Becca knew she had the foundational skills to become a fierce and compassionate courtroom advocate. So, she headed back to school. Becca received her J.D. from the University of Nebraska College of Law. While there, she was Articles Editor for the Nebraska Law Review and served as co-president of the Equal Justice Society. After graduation, Becca clerked for Chief Judge John M. Gerrard of the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. In her spare time, Becca enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and playing fetch with her dog, Sadie.

Client Review

Being in an accident caused by an 18-wheeler, changing my life as I knew it, I didn’t know there was any good that could come of it, but there was. Metier Law Firm located in Fort Collins, CO.

I am not sure my words will do Stefanie, Phil, Elizabeth, Becca and Maria justice. I am blessed to have been referred to, and having Metier Law Firm, accept my case. Simply stated, how each them positively impacted my life is they showed me I matter.

The genuine care and support I received with an understanding of exactly what I was going through, the integrity of each of them is of the highest of standards. They are down to earth, easy to talk to, and supported me on every level. I truly could not have asked for more.

From Stefanie taking my initial, very emotional call, allowing me the time I needed, to then meeting Phil and working with him and Elizabeth. Phil made it clear that this part is their job, explaining in ways I could understand the undertaking of our case. He also took time to help my husband have a better sense of what I was going through, and made it clear my part was to focus on healing. I immediately knew not only legally was I in the best hands, but on the human level as well.

Phil and Elizabeth were both available to me. Elizabeth was patient with me, spent time with me talking, listening, answering questions, offering help, explaining what, why, when with our case.

Phil spent time with me talking, explaining what he was doing, why and how things work, and answering any questions I had.

I met Becca and Maria as our case was evolving. Becca and Maria were available to me, compassionate and understanding, both spending time with me, talking, listening, helping me clearly understand each step along the way. When I had questions, I never felt hesitant to ask at any time.

I was able to watch Becca and Phil in action at one point, fighting diligently on my behalf. With them on my side we would win. I never had a moment of doubt.

Becca and Maria dealt with the continuance of, and then finality of, our case. They asked for my thoughts, reminding me when decisions were up to me, and at times I needed to lean on Becca and Phil, and put in their hands making some decisions for me when I didn’t feel able.

This is their area of expertise. I trust them implicitly.

Becca continued fighting for me, knowing what my desires were, then closed the case with WE WON.

A five-star review and an unquestionable recommendation if you or someone you know is in need.
