One Killed in Commerce City Motorcycle Accident

CBS 4 in Denver is reporting that a motorcyclist was killed during a September 4 collision with a semi-truck. The accident happened a little before 6 a.m., at the intersection of 56th Avenue and Vasquez Boulevard in Commerce City, Colorado.

Traffic investigators blocked off several lanes of the intersection for hours while they attempted to re-create the accident. The eastbound lanes of 56th Avenue remained closed until around 10 a.m. The identity of the motorcyclist killed was not immediately made available. The police were still investigating the cause of the accident at the time of this report.

Even though the motorcyclist may not have been at fault for this accident, he or she is the one who paid the ultimate price. No matter who is at fault in a car or truck accident involving a motorcyclist, the motorcyclist is usually the one who suffers the greater injuries and damages. Too often motorcyclists are the victims of the mistakes of their fellow motorists and far too often those motorists are not held accountable for all of the pain and suffering they have caused the motorcyclists and their families.
