Driver Arrested for Allegedly Causing Fatal Five Car Wreck

Isis Cesar, 36, has been arrested for allegedly being at fault in a fatal five-car accident, according to CBS 4 in Miami. The accident took place on May 9 at around 2 p.m. in Miami, Florida. As Cesar arrived at the intersection of 47th and NW 7th Avenue, she crashed into a car making a left turn. The force of that collision sent the car Cesar hit careening into the car of Juan Liriano, 71, who died as a result of the multiple car accident.

Cesar was not arrested until August 5, when she surrendered to police, who have reported that Cesar was driving over 70 mph in a 40 mph zone and was found to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the wreck. In addition, it was reported that she told a nurse afterwards that she takes several medications and had smoked marijuana the day before the accident. Cesar is facing manslaughter and DUI charges.
