Denver Truck Accident Leaves Cyclist Injured

The Denver police are searching for the driver of a semi-truck that hit a bicyclist and fled the scene, according to ABC 7 in Denver. The accident happened in Denver’s LoDo neighborhood near Coors Field on October 28. At around 6:30 p.m., a semi-truck and a bicyclist collided at the intersection of Park Avenue West and Blake Street.

Police reported that during the collision, the front of the truck hit the cyclist. According to CBS 4 in Denver, the bicyclist had to be hospitalized and reportedly suffered a broken leg in the crash.

The truck driver fled the scene after the accident. At the time of this report, police were still trying to locate both the semi-truck and its driver. Witnesses have described the truck as a maroon or brown single-cab semi-truck with a “lowboy” trailer, which is a flatbed trailer with a low-to-the-ground profile. Police also report that part of the bicycle may still be stuck in the truck’s grill.
