According to the Arvada police, the bus was heading east on 53rd Avenue when it collided with a motorcycle traveling northbound on Wadsworth Boulevard. The motorcyclist died on impact. Neither the driver nor any of the passengers on the bus were injured in the wreck. Although, the bus did sustain some minor damage from the collision.

Parts of Wadsworth and 53rd had to be closed during the morning rush hour as a result of the accident, which caused some major traffic delays. The street closures were due in part to an accident reconstruction team going over the evidence at the scene for a few hours after the wreck. As of this report, the cause of the accident was still under investigation.

If it is proven that the bus was at fault in this fatal motorcycle accident, the family of this motorcyclist deserves to see those responsible brought to justice. It will not bring their loved one back, but maybe it will help prevent another family from going through a similar tragedy in the future.
